ALPHAZINGERS

Teri has developed some highly unique methods to support literacy and to teach English,
specifically an unusual method to teach letter names, shapes and sounds.

Using ALPHAZINGERS, an amazing visual imagination method that integrates rhythm,
easy-to-grasp letter pair stories and
smART ART, kids quickly learn to recognize and to
recall letter names, sounds and stroke orders.

Several types of ALPHAZINGERS Workshops are available:

PAINT A to ZINGER

Rhythm, visual imagery, gross motor skills, paint and newspapers are used to teach letter
names, shapes and sounds.
Depending upon the number of participants and the pace with
which they can comfortably and confidently proceed, 6 to 8 letter pairs can be completed
per hour. Workshop time may vary per group, but to learn all 26 letter pairs, a minimum of
3 hours is advised.

A to ZINGER PHONICS CUTS BOOK

Program content targets phonics and includes the creation of an A to Zinger Phonics Cuts Book.
Participants will discover the fun of teaching phonics and how to reinforce alphabet sounds using
free-hand cut paper projects. "A for Ant cuts" and "B for Butterfly cuts" are only a few examples
of the many imaginative cuts that support literacy, basic, fine motor and concentration skills, hand
and eye coordination, and build confidence while encouraging creativity.

As participants will complete 26 different alphabet pages for their Phonics Cuts Book, a minimum
of six hours is recommended. Workshops can be divided into several sessions on different days.

Materials used are Japanese origami, washi, construction paper and Elephant dung papers
sketchbooks.

A to ZINGER ALPHABET CUTS BOOK

In this workshop, participants learn to cut all 52 upper and lowercase letters without using
guidelines or templates. Once cut, the magic of each person’s creativity will unfold! Although
this program is geared to teachers, it is hoped that the cutting techniques learned can be
eventually taught in kindergarten and elementary school classrooms.

A minimum of 4 hours is required to learn all 52 Alphabet Cuts.
Materials used are Japanese origami, washi, construction paper and
Elephant dung papers
sketchbooks.

Presentation rates for all programs are based upon duration of venue, content and the number of
